Crazy busy, crazy school!

Oh wow I haven't updated this in ages! Last update was from the time I got my letter of acceptance to The Animation Workshop (KAU) here in Viborg, Denmark, but since then ALOT has happened!

This school is more than I had ever dreamed of. You have no idea (or you might have an idea) how it feels to walk into the place of your dreams and just FEEL your dreams coming true. I've been so busy you can't even imagine! We've been taught by amazing people, and incredible people come from all over to hold lectures etc. We have people who have worked with Pixar, Disney, ILM (Industrial Light and Magic), you name it!

So it's amazing. And the semester just started!

hei im planning on going to the animation workshop in viborg as a cg artist this summer, so i would love to get some tips on how to prepare and to the portfolio (like what do they look for and such)

Hej Mathias! Well, first off, you could check out my portfolio that I sent to the Animation Workshop on here: [link] as well as my friend Karen's portfolio here: [link] We both got in last summer, but it's not only your portfolio that counts. If your portfolio gets accepted there is an exam and interview as well.

If you could show me any samples of your stuff I could give you more specific guidelines. Do you have a blog or website that you post your stuff on? I had a friend that was incredibly nice in guiding me through the process, and it's extremely helpful, and I can try to help you the best I can! :) I also suggest that you start working on your portfolio sooner rather than later, because ALOT of time can go into it. I started working on mine waaayyyy too late and was a nervous wreck in the last days before the deadline :)

But would love to see some samples of your work and such! Then I can be much more specific :)

thanks for the reply ^^ yea well most of the little time i have off when not working! i use drawing, im uploading some of my stuff (that which i think i can upload without looking like a total fool hehe) its only fanart manga stuff rly atm tho, since the other genres ive been practicing gets kinda off looking - well ill try to get something up ^^ so plz critic and come with sugestion on what to do and dont :D
